Student & Trainee Events at the ACCP Annual Meeting

  • Submitting an abstract to the ACCP Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to present your research to a diverse, global audience of meeting attendees. Students & Trainees submitting an abstract are eligible for the Student Abstract Awards, given to eight awardees annually. The Student & Trainee Award winners are presented with a certificate and $1,000 honorarium, a complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting and an invitation to attend the Honors & Awards/Regents Dinner. Student Awards are presented during the Honors & Awards/Regents Dinner held prior to the Annual Meeting and are also acknowledged during the Annual Meeting. 

  • The Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award is given for the best poster among the eight Student &Trainee Award winners, as judged by the Program Committee during the Poster Sessions at the Annual Meeting. The winner of the Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award receives a trophy and an honorarium of $500. At the time the award is presented, the author gives a short presentation outlining the findings of the study.

  • Career Guidance – Experienced ACCP Mentors whose careers have spanned various settings and disciplines within the field of clinical pharmacology meet with Students,Trainees & Young Professionals to share their experiences and answer questions in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

  • Podium Presentations – A select number of Student Abstract Award winners are provided with the opportunity to present their research in a Podium Presentation and answer questions from the audience.   

  • Student Networking Reception –This event provides more personal interaction with ACCP leadership to seek personalized career guidance.

  • Poster Tours Small groups of Students & Trainees are hosted by ACCP Fellows or senior Members to tour the Poster Session and discuss preselected posters that provide exceptional educational content or presentation.

  •  CV Reviews are performed by senior Members of ACCP to provide feedback and guidance.
