ACCP Pediatric & Maternal Clinical Pharmacology Community

Are you interested in the rapidly evolving field of pediatrics and maternal research, drug discovery and clinical trials? Enhance your network and make an impact by joining the ACCP Pediatric & Maternal Clinical Pharmacology Community, ACCP’s inaugural initiative to develop Communities of clinical pharmacology professionals with similar interests and objectives.

The ACCP Pediatric & Maternal Clinical Pharmacology Community will promote the principles of clinical pharmacology across the greater team of pediatric and maternal health professionals, plus educate young healthcare professionals and the public. This may include developing educational training events in the form of webinars, ACCP Annual Meeting Proposals or proposals for other global meetings; developing manuscripts, white papers or other opinions for publication and working to achieve the harmonization of the US with global pediatric and maternal clinical pharmacology agendas. ACCP seeks to become a trusted voice through outreach within the global clinical pharmacology community as well as the public at large.

Drs. Natella Rakhmanina and Jeremiah Momper shared, “We are thrilled to support the newly launched the ACCP Pediatric & Maternal Clinical Pharmacology Community at ACCP.  Significant advancements in the development and dosing of medications for newborns, infants, children and pregnant and lactating women have been achieved in recent years. However, multiple gaps remain which limit our ability to effectively address health, growth and developmental needs in these complex patient populations.  Bringing together researchers and the broader community interested in advancing the agenda for pediatric and maternal clinical pharmacology will allow us to strengthen networks and collaborations. We hope this initiative will draw interest among ACCP members and beyond and will link us closer to the populations we serve.”
